Job Description:
A company is looking for a Board Certified Pulmonology Physician
Reviewer with a California License.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate medical necessity for treatment requests in the California
workers' compensation system
Provide advisory-only opinions based on established evidence-based
guidelines
Articulate rationale for determinations in written reports
Required Qualifications
Current, unrestricted California Medical License
Board Certified in Pulmonology/Pulmonary Disease
Experience in the California Independent Medical Review (IMR)
process
Active practice in the medical field
Expertise in Medical Treatment Utilization Schedule (MTUS) and
Official Disability Guidelines (ODG)
