*Job Description:*

Cardiovascular Technologists II is a professional in the Cardiac Cath Lab or Electrophysiology Lab, with direct patient care during these procedures in the scrub and monitor positions. The technologist is responsible for helping develop and implement systems to assure the smooth and efficient flow of patients for procedures in the Cardiovascular labs. Responsible for performing specialized technologist roles within the Cardiovascular procedure setting.



Operates high technology equipment and utilizes products under the direct supervision of a qualified physician to assist with procedures performed. Duties for this position include but are not limited to monitoring and scrubbing roles during procedures, patient teaching, assisting with patient care within scope of practice, inventory management and schedule coordination.

*Requirements:*

- *Required* Education: Graduate of an accredited 2-year Radiologic Technology program; Cardiovascular or Electrophysiology Technology Program; or current RCIS or RCES

- *Required* Experience: Entry level for technologist is with applicable specialized cardiovascular technologist registry certification.

- *Required* Certification & Licensures: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES); or ARRT Radiologic Technologist. BLS and ACLS certification.



- Preferred Certification & Licensure: Advanced certifications such as Cardiac Interventional Radiography (CI) and/or Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI) from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
