Job Description:
Position Summary -Sovah Health is looking for the ideal
candidate who will assume principle responsibility for behavioral
health level of care assessments for individuals presenting to the
Emergency Department in psychiatric or emotional crisis situations
and for other patients referred for psychiatric evaluation. Assumes
principle responsibility for facilitating placement of patients in
need of inpatient psychiatric care. Requires flexibility in
scheduling to insure 24/7 on-call coverage. - - - - - - - - - -
Collaborates with members of the health care team/patient/family
and communicates information specific for formulation of an
age-specific interdisciplinary plan of care. - - - - - - - - -
Performs interventions accurately, concisely and timely in
accordance with licensure/certification status, standards of care,
age and status of patient. - - - - - - - - - Documents subjective
and objective findings of patient progress. Monitors and modifies
the plan of care as needed. Seeks consultation as necessary. - - -
- - - - - - Educates the patient and family/caregiver about patient
deficits. - - - - - - - - - Maintains knowledge of treatment

of mental health counseling, social work, psychology, professional
nursing or other related human services field.Required
SkillsRequires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the
ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a
stressful environment and take appropriate action.Requires the
ability to accept responsibility and accountability specific to the
clinical treatment for assigned patients. Requires the cognitive
ability and practical ability to assist in managing behavioral
healthcare appropriate to the population assigned, considering the
age and diagnosis of the same. Requires the ability to handle
changes in priorities and carry them out efficiently.Requires the
ability to respond quickly and calmly under stressful or emergency
situations. - Requires strong interpersonal skills.Requires full
range of motion including manual and finger dexterity and eye hand
coordination. May require bending, squatting and kneeling. Requires
corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires ability to
work under stressful conditions and/or irregular hours. Potential
for exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
Candidates who are offered a position are required to provide
fingerprints and personal information for a criminal history check
as a condition of employment.Certifications:AHA Basic Life Support
(BLS) or Heart Saver CPR required. - Therapeutic Options
(de-escalation course) required within 90 days of employmentMinimum
Work ExperienceMinimum of two years recent experience in behavioral
health field, preferably with expertise in family, marital, group
and individual therapy. Requirement will include successful
completion of orientation checklist and
