Job Description*$20,000 Sign on Bonus and Relocation Assistance available for qualifying candidate*Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice in an emergent care environment. Able to recognize, triage, assess, and effectively treat life-threatening conditions.Reports to: Director of ERMinimum EducationBachelor's degree PreferredRequired SkillsRequires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.Conscious Sedation competency completion required within 90 days of date of hire.Ability to regularly accept on-call assignments and ability to report to hospital within 30 minutes of notification.Licensure/CertificationCertifications:Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hireAdvanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) andPALS within 90 days of date of hire.Handle with Care within one year of date of hire.License:Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of VA, or Compact licensure as a Registered Nurse which includes the Commonwealth of VA, and in good standing with the Board.Minimum Work ExperienceOne year of previous experience in an ER as an RN strongly preferred.Equal opportunity and affirmative action employers and are looking for diversity in candidates for employment: Minority/Female/Disabled/Protected Veteran
