Summary and Qualifications
- Demonstrates accountability for essential clinical knowledge to
positively affect patient outcomes within the scope of nursing

care. -
- Demonstrates strong and accurate clinical judgment and
competent or expert nursing skills while following established
policies including those related to confidentiality (written,

- Follows LGMC process for dispensing of medications and narcotic

interaction where instructions for home and/or the next provider
are accurately provided. -

Shared Governance as demonstrated through attendance, input,
innovative ideas, and volunteering to serve on unit based or
hospital councils. -

nursing sensitive indicators. -

representing the organization. -What qualifications you will
need:REQUIRED Licensure - One of the following: -
- Registered Nurse License issued by the Department of Health
Professions, Commonwealth of Virginia. -
- Registered Nurse with "multi-state privilege" granted to them
by virtue of holding a license in one of the states participating
in the Nurse Licensure Compact Agreement and who has not
established permanent residency in Virginia. -REQUIRED
Certifications/Credentials: -
- BLS, Basic Life Support Certification from and approved agency
Initial certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire. -
Renewal must be obtained prior to expiration date. -
- ACLS, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Certification from
the American Heart Association. - -Initial Certification must be
obtained within 12 months of hire. Renewal must be obtained prior
to expiration date.
- PALS, Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification from the
American Heart Association. -Initial Certification must be obtained
within 12 months of hire. Renewal must be obtained prior to
expiration date. -
- TNCC, Trauma Nurse Core Course. -REQUIRED Education:
- Graduate of a nursing program -Preferred Experience: -
- Two years RN experience PREFERRED Certifications/Credentials: -
- ENPC, Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course
- Specialty certification from a national accrediting
organization -
- Member of a national professional nursing organization -
- ACLS certification unless specified as required above - has
