  • Unit can accommodate block scheduling.
  • Unit will accept contracts from 13 weeks+ up to March 15, 2025 (hard stop) to get the Unit through the Holidays!
  • 12 HOUR NIGHTS; 18:45 - 07:15
  • Float Requirement: required to float to like units.
  • Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts in 6 weeks but staffing needs may require more.
  • Patient Population: COPD, PNA, Resp distress, Covid-19, FLU, PE's.
  • Patient population currently includes care for COVID-19 patients, including those who have tested positive.
  • Scheduling Type: Unit can accommodate block scheduling.
  • Unit orientation: 24 hours
  • Scrubs: white or navy blue
  • Target Ratios: 1:5-6 (Mixed acuity unit with PCU and MS/Tele patients with ratios of 1:6)
  • 36-48 hrs can be offered. OT will be offered after 48 hrs has been reached.
    • Job Requirements
    • Minimum Years of Experience: 1 year required.
    • Traveler Experience: Unit WILL ACCEPTS 1st time traveler.
    • Skills: IV start, Vents, Telemetry and cpap/bipap, Interpretation/management of dysrhythmias.
    • Must pass EKG Testing prior to start for this specialty

      • 12 HOUR NIGHTS; 18:45 - 07:15

      • Unit will accept contracts from 13 weeks+ up to March 15, 2025 (hard stop) to get the Unit through the Holidays!
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Our acuity is on the higher end of a med-surg unit, but we do operate with a team lead present in a 3:1 that rounds the whole unit, 2 respiratory therapists that are rounding, and an assistant nurse manager on shift including weekends.
        • We do take ventilators on our unit but they are for chronic trach/vent patients. Our model is that no nurse has more than one vent patient at a time.
        • Our unit is 48 beds in total.
        • Our CNA's are a 9-10:1.
        • Special Procedures: Chest tubes, Dopamine, Cardizem, Heparin, vents, trachs, bipaps/cpaps
